Come Join the Wallaby Contest!
Rules:
1. Register, purchase yarn and save your receipt from Yards of Yarn.
2. Make “5” changes to the Wallaby.
3. Deadline for entries is April 26th. Winners will be announced on May 10th.
4. Employees and their families cannot enter. Judges will be members of the community.
You are welcome to come to the shop to just sit and knit. There is no charge and no instruction is given. Bring a friend or come by yourself and make a new friend. There are two wicker loveseats to relax on, or if you prefer, a small table is available in the yarn room. If instructions are given, there will be a charge of $7.00 per hour.
Class Enrollment Information and Policy
Class size: We require a minimum of three (3) students to hold a class. The maximum number of students to be taken in any class will depend on the difficulty level of the project. We want you to have sufficient time with the instructor.
Class Enrollment: Pre-payment is required to guarantee the instructor has enough students. No refunds will be given if you cancel a class. We will refund your enrollment fee if we cancel the class for low enrollment. You will not be enrolled until you have paid. If a class is full we would be happy to put your name on a waitlist. We will try our best to reschedule any class that is cancelled due to bad weather.
These classes are for everyone. Whether you want to learn to knit or are an experienced knitter. We teach all levels and ages: Adults, teens and children. You can knit whatever you want, something you see in the shop (excluding the Saturday projects), or a pattern of your choice. If you and a couple of friends want to learn to knit and none of these times fit into your schedule, please call us so we can try and arrange a time that works for you. Call and enroll today!

Spring Flowers “Felted”: No matter what the weather is outside these blossoms will give you a touch of what is to come. Roses, Five Star & Trumpets are just three of the choices. They can be embellished with beads. Give them to your mother for Mother’s Day, wear them on a coat, or put one or two in a vase.

Landscape Shawl: Rows of eyelet separate chevrons done in different stitches that represent the landscape. It has a picot edge and can be knit in any weight yarn and any color scheme. There are two models at the shop, one in hand painted yarn and the other in a solid color. Come in and see the different looks this pattern can give you. We will get you started these two weeks. As you progress through the various stitches you can join a class for whatever help you need.

Girls Beaded Socks: Put a smile on some little girls face with these adorable socks. Instruction is given for the cuff portion with the beading. You should be able to complete the sock on your own.

Washcloths: Round and rectangular washcloths in pretty spring colors. Add some soaps or bath products to make a wonderful gift basket. Great gift idea for Mother’s Day or bring to a friend you are visiting this summer.

Socks, Socks, And More Socks: Using this German pattern you will achieve the best fitting socks you have ever worn. These are fun to wear and will keep your feet warm this winter. Class size is limited to six students so enroll early.
Candlewicking Shawl: This shawl is simply elegant. Each flame is accented with a pearl or bead for a little pizzazz.

What is a slogger? It is a clear clog that is worn with your hand knit socks. We meet on the first Saturday of each month. We all wear our sloggers and go out to eat and just have fun together. So keep knitting those socks. Come in and see the perfect accessory for your socks and your feet. We meet the first Saturday of every month.
